This guy i really like has just asked me out and i said yes... one problem he wants us to go see a film together... it would be really cool... one thing... i don't no how to tell my parents.. there still think of me as young when i want to be me and go out with boys. Please help!

The key issue here is that your parents think you are too young to go out with boys. So you have to show them that you are grown up and trustworthy, which means you have to take a deep breath and tell your parents you have met someone you like and you want to go to the cinema. What ever you do, don't get emotional, run upstairs and slam your bedroom door when they say you're not going! And don't sneak out or lie about where you are going. Introduce him to your parents as a friend so that they can make up their own minds about him. Don't give them any reason to think he is having a negative effect on you. Work hard in school, help your parents in the house, get up in the mornings..... eventually they will have no reason not to let you. |
